MIDLAND (Ontario) – The Martyrs’ Shrine has hired Allex Laurin to fill the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Local to the area, Allex joins us with a diversified skillset in tourism, events, and marketing. He previously has operated his own communications business and worked for the Town of Penetanguishene to coordinate the commemorative Rendez-Vous Champlain festival. Allex also sits on the board of directors for our local tourism marketing organization, the Heart of Georgian Bay. Passionate about tourism and marketing, we are excited to enlist his help in promoting The Martyr’s Shrine to visitors to bring them closer to God through the life and story of the Martyrs.

Allex has been transitioning into the role with the help of our previous Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Angela Bird. Angela will be leaving us to pursue a new opportunity with Midland’s Butter Tart Festival.
