Fr Leblanc was born (and reborn, in baptism) in Halifax, Nova-Scotia. There he received education and catechists in the Catholic schools of the city; subsequently he graduated B.A. from St. Mary’s University there. Very early in life, he had sensed a calling to priesthood – a calling lived out in the Society of Jesus. Study and training for this took place in Guelph, ON., Spokane, WA., St John’s, NL., Toronto, ON., and in Ireland and the U.K. Since June 1994, he has been on the staff of Martyrs’ Shrine.
