On the evening of November 21st, 2015 the 85ft spruce tree at Martyrs’ Shrine was lit up for the 2015 Christmas Season!
Over 100 local residents and visitors came to the Shrine during this evening event. As a light snow fell, the largest Christmas tree in Simcoe County was illuminated. The tree is strung with bright white LED lights and remains lit throughout the Christmas season.
Father Bernard Carroll, S.J. gave a special prayer service and blessing. Visitors were treated to hot apple cider, candy canes, and enjoyed the VOX Huronia Community Choir singing Christmas carols.
