Feast Day of the Martyrs

Our Feast Day celebrations at the Shrine Church 2015

Feast Day Mass at the Shrine Church

The Provincials from both the English and French Jesuit Provinces were on hand for the Feast Day of the Canadian Martyrs on September 26, 2015. It was the first ever bi-Province Mass held at the Shrine church.

Following the Mass, Jesuit priests and scholastics explored the grounds at Martyrs’ Shrine and toured Sainte Marie Among the Hurons to learn more about how the Jesuits and the Hurons lived. Father Bernard Carroll, S.J., Director of Martyrs’ Shrine, presented Fr. Bisson and Fr. Biron with a commemorative cross carved from a cherry tree felled on Martyrs’ Shrine property.
